Every era of comics has its defining stories—ones that stand the test of time and become must-reads for future generations. The Silver Age had The Night Gwen Stacy Died, the Bronze Age gave us The Dark Phoenix Saga, and the Modern Age saw the rise of The Court of Owls and Old Man Logan. So, which current runs or recent storylines will be regarded as true classics in 20 years? Are there books on the shelves today that will command high prices, inspire adaptations, or be studied as definitive character arcs? What do you think? Which modern stories will be revered decades from now? Every era of comics has its defining stories—ones that stand the test of time and become must-reads for future generations. Really really great question that mate, i think Marvel: Immortal Hulk and Donny Cates Venom run will stand the test of time Dc: I think the Absolute comics especially Batman and Superman will stand the test of time and get adapted at some point but early days so far, and also the Dceased storylines will be seen as classic in few years time. Also a Nice House on the Lake Indies there so many really good stories its hard to single 1 out but Something Killing the Children is obv one but also, Saga and The Moon is Following us is going to become a classic and tbh i could go on but those spring to mind Really really great question that mate, i think Marvel: Immortal Hulk and Donny Cates Venom run will stand the test of time Dc: I think the Absolute comics especially Batman and Superman will stand the test of time and get adapted at some point but early days so far, and also the Dceased storylines will be seen as classic in few years time. When I think about rereading modern runs years later, comfort always comes to mind. Sitting for long reading sessions with a neck pillow makes a big difference, especially when diving into long story arcs. Some recent comics feel timeless already because of strong character growth and emotional depth. Those are the ones people will return to again and again, maybe late at night with a stack of issues and good back support. A good neck pillow helps reduce strain during long reads, letting you focus on the story instead of discomfort. Stories that explore heroes in more human ways tend to stay relevant. I think runs that balance action, emotion, and thoughtful writing will be remembered, studied, and shared just like older classics.
