My first comic

As a kid from the UK my first experience of comics and collecting was the very early Beano and Dandy ones. I loved Desperate Dan and the legendary Dennis the menace. I couldn't wait to get my hands on the latest issues and just laugh and enjoy the latest little adventures of my favourite characters.

Sandman issue #6 I highly recommend reading it if you already haven’t.
also the Netflix episode and series I thought portrayed the issue really well, especially that particular episode.

If I ignore Dandy (I was legitimately in the Desperate Dan club thing)
It was Aliens #1 1988 - we used to spend every weekend and holiday at a caravan. The local co-op had 'proper' comics and it was a pocket money pick up.
I subbed in that good old fashioned way, which, while my memory is hazy was probably some form of send away thing.
Every one of the issues I received ultimately ended up cut up to make a mural on my bedroom door 😏

Sand man is on my bucket list of ones to read. I'm in the middle of The Boys at the moment, a great read so far.

The Boys is awesome, and Herogasam I thoroughly enjoyed both of those.
I am sure you will enjoy The Sandman, its dark, slightly odd, mystical and blends mythology with horror and philosophy.
I can’t believe what I have been reading about the writer Neil Gaiman lately.
Have a Google if you're not sure what I am referring to.

Yeah sounds my exact cup of tea to be honest. I've seen the basics of what's gone on. It doesn't sound great but I still listen to Wagner 🤷♂️.
