The Substance.... Well. It's brilliant for 2/3 then. Then.... I don't even have an explanation! It's worth watching but the ending will be an acquired taste.

On a side note I watched Ex Machina last night for the first time. Brilliant.

Yes Ex Machina is fantastic. Been long enough since I watched that I feel I could revisit it

@redster watched speak no evil the other night. As always a solid performance by James.

Another Movie I'd never watched but certainly isn't new;

Lucy from 2015 the Scarlett Johansson flick.

It was the love child of the matrix and limitless basically but a decent watch.

I've got Flow on the menu. Should be interesting. I've long been a fan of silent comics so we'll see how a silent movie (that isn't the classic silent movies) goes.

I had a bit of a movie night with the wifey last night, first up Heretic, not what I expected, deeply thought provoking and a lot of philosophical topics are included within the movie, Hugh Grants performance was tip top, ending was ok! 6.5/10

Second up Venom 3 I thoroughly enjoyed it, yes it’s silly yes it skims over so, so much from the comics, not sure on the whole Knull appearance, was probably just to get the bums on the seats at the cinema.
I am interested to see if this really is “the last dance” but a solid 7.5/10 from me.

I watched Longlegs the other day and yes it was a bit odd but I thought Nicholas Cage was great in it.

What was with those flashes of that scary looking Nun?

If you want an even weirder film with him in, watch "Mandy".

Went to watch Captain America: Brave New World the other day with my boys. Anyone else seen it? What did you think?

I enjoyed it for the most part, but I have to admit, it wasn’t the most memorable. Anthony Mackie steps up as Cap, and while the action was solid and the political thriller vibes were there, it felt like it was missing that something to make it truly stand out.

The return of Harrison Ford as Thunderbolt Ross was cool, and there were some solid fight sequences, but I can’t help but feel like it won’t be one I revisit often.

What did you lot think? Worth the shield, or just another MCU filler?

I did quite like it as it was a bit more grounded from other Marvel films and yes there were some solid fight sequences etc but I agree, it's not one I will revisit often.

Went and saw Thunderbolts the other day. it was pretty good, but not great. The cast had strong chemistry and there were some solid action sequences, but the overall story felt a bit underwhelming compared to the hype. It had its moments and was definitely entertaining, just not as memorable or impactful as I hoped it would be.

Solid 7.5 out of 10.

Actually quite looking forward to this and it's cool, that Nic Cage is in it.

Just watched it today and got to say not too bad at all. Was entertained. Will watch again
