Golden Age Comics & The One-Staple Secret!

During World War II, comic book publishers had to get creative. With metal rationing in full effect, even staples became a precious commodity. To conserve materials, many Golden Age comics were printed with just one staple instead of the usual two!

Collectors today often find these war-era books with pages hanging loose or detached, but don’t be too quick to assume damage—that single staple was always part of the original design!

Cool bit of comic book history. I haven’t personally come across a one staple Golden Age comic.

I am glad CGC don't class it as a defect otherwise that could get tricky.
