Hi everyone new to collecting comics but i just wondered why you get your comics graded is it for investment, or just to preserve them i have sent a few now love the case and it makes the comic look really nice with the label giving a clear discription , be great to hear from some of you other collectors

I think everyone’s answer here will be different , I send some comics in for financial reasons, if I want to spec on it, hope it blows up and can sell for a profit. My personal collection I send in to preserve and display, I think it’s down to the individual and how they collect.

I am similar to Redster, I will send some books in for financial reasons if I think there is some value to be added but for the most part I like to preserve my personal collection in cases so I can appreciate the great covers whilst displaying them.

I'll always usually go for CGC graded books as they are still the most recognised within the industry. That's not to say that their grading is any better or worse than other companies, just my personal preference.
